Residenza Castelli - Firenze

The room was nice and comfortable. Show was amazing.

To much nose at night. It toke me long time to sleep. Had to put on music so I don't have to here the nose out side.

I liked the location, very close to the Ufizzi and other Florence sites.

No staff on site. Paper-thin walls. No air conditioning ("It's 'on order'"). Boiling hot in rooms, we opened windows but suffered stinky smell from alley below, pigeons flying around and no window screens - fear of birds flying into rooms. Rock-stiff mattress (I slept on the desk chair). Shower head didn't spray water, only the hand-held spray worked -- no one to complain to! Shower hadn't been cleaned from previous guest (hair and shampoo in shower when we arrived). No public sitting space - this is someone's apartment now converted to a few rental rooms. Difficult to find - no sign (because it's an apartment, not a hotel). We booked one room with double bed and one room with 2 twins, however both had doubles - our adult kids don't want to sleep in bed together!

The Residenza Castelli is excellently located right off a main shopping street, steps from the Ponte Vecchio in a very quiet piazza (Santo Stefano). The best attribute of the residence is its location. It is easily accessible from the train station with a short taxi ride. Car rental facilities are also a 15 minute walk for those looking to explore Tuscany. The residence is very clean and modern.

After reading the comments on the noise level and staying there for 2 nights I would say that yes, there is potential for some bothersome noise from neighbors. That being said however, it was always quiet during the evening and only got noisy after 9am. So, if you're a late and light sleeper...I Would look elsewhere. If you're not and you would like to be in a niceplace + central location, stay here. Also, the front desk took a hands off approach with us as compared to other similar places we've stayed at in Italy. This may be good for you or may be not. Just do not expect an over the top front desk staff to plan your day (we were fine with it). Also, the desk closes at 5pm.

The location was awesome - next to all of the main tourist spots. Room was clean, modern with a decent bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful

Due to location and building you could be affected by noise. Noise from hallway and courtyard can be heard in the rooms. No breakfast included and no tea and coffee making facilities.

Ideal situation in the city, very kind, welcoming and helpful personnel, excellent firm mattresses . a place to recommend to visit Florence. Ask for the quieter rooms (not those on the street, where the noise may be an issue).

Melamine floor quite noisy in the room and corridors.

Location - right next to the Ponte Vecchio in a quiet, small Piazza. Room was big with a great bathroom. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, they even came to find us on the street when we got lost trying to find it.

The bed was rock hard!

Great localization and nice, clean, modern rooms. Good working internet (quite unusual in Italy).

We have a room near the reception. Unfortunately doors were thin to keep silence in our room...

This accomodation offered no more than a room that could not be bettered for location. The maintenance was discreet,and faultless. A opportunity to sample living right in the centre of a great city.

A/C was not installed yet. Manager gave 20Euro discount. Noisy in the morning.
